“Family Service Association Kick-Off for Operation Backpack” 

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — Family Service Association is excited to kick-off this year’s Operation Backpack 2016. With the recent casino closures, many children in our community will not be prepared to return to school. These children will enter the coming school year with no backpack, notebook, pencils, or basic supplies that they need.

Cindy Herdman Ivins, President/CEO, states that “this hardship will make staying on track difficult for any young student, and especially one who might already be struggling academically.” We’re asking our local community to please consider investing in a child. We’re in need of new backpacks filled with school supplies for students 4-18. Individual donations will be accepted through August 19th at all Family Service Association locations.
